How did you and your husband meet?
We actually met on tinder- the way most people meet these days! We went for our first date at Si-Paradiso and after a few too many negronis and great conversation we were together!
How did he propose?
It was perfectly us, we had just finished building our house in Fremantle and on the day he proposed we decided to pop in and do some cleaning and chores before the big move. As I was fussing around getting stressed with all that needed to be done before we moved in, Elliott grabbed me by the shoulders and said some perfectly sweet and precious things and dropped to his knee! After not believing what was happening, he pulled out the most beautiful diamond ring and the rest was history!! I love that it was just us together, in our future home that we were preparing our lives and future together in!
What was your vision for your wedding day?
We wanted to have a big party celebrating our union! We wanted all our loved ones dressed to the nines, sipping champagne and dancing the night away. We love colour and bright florals so we asked Lara (our wedding planner) and Natural Art to come up with something fun, bright and sophisticated to be the backdrop to the evening and they completely delivered! The setting of Postal Hall at the Treasury Building created the perfect space to create our dreams as well, it had special meaning to me as my grandfather had worked there when he first moved to Australia and having that energy with us on our day was really special. The space was beautiful and was completely transformed by the amazing team that helped create our dream!
Where did you look for your wedding inspiration?
To be honest I didn’t have a very clear vision of what I wanted for my wedding dress, I knew I wanted something classic, timeless but also a bit different with a modern element. I didn’t have a specific dress that I could visualise but what I ended up with totally exceeded all expectations.
What drew you to your gown from Helen Rodrigues Bridal?
I was lucky enough to have had my sister find her dream dress through Helen Rodrigues and it just made sense to leave it in the hands of the best! We had a great phone call (as I live in Perth) and after being asked what buzz words I imagined for my dress she knew instinctively what dress I wanted and it was exactly the one I chose!
What was your wedding planning journey like for you? How far out did you start planning?
We started planning our wedding 11 months before we tied the knot. I would say that we were very lucky that we had the most incredible team with White Events, we would have meetings to organise throughout the process but ultimately everything was left in their amazing hands!
What was the biggest decision you had to make?
I feel like choosing a dress was one of the biggest decisions but even that was made so easy with Helen, for someone as indecisive as me to have an expert step in and instinctively know what would be the perfect dress was perfect!
What was the highlight of your wedding day for you?
I think one of the highlights of the night was the speeches. Having the most special people in our lives having such beautiful and hilarious things to say was so amazing! We were crying and laughing the whole time- it was perfect!
Is there anything you would do differently?
Absolutely not- it was perfect!

Trust the process and the professionals! Helen and her team know all the tips and tricks to make you feel and look as beautiful as possible on the day. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
