How They Met

We've known each other in the same wider circle of friends for a while. We re-connected just before COVID via Instagram, and the rest was history!

The Proposal

We were holiday-ing in Europe in 2023. We had been in France for about 1.5 weeks, and Pete got down on one knee in the Lavender fields of Provence, in the South of France! It couldn’t have been more picture-perfect and lavender will now always hold a special place in our hearts.

Wedding Day Vision

A modern yet classic candle-lit dinner inspired by New York. An evening filled with lots of love, fun, dancing and drinks!

Wedding Day Inspiration

Everywhere! It seems you cant escape looking at wedding dresses the minute you’re engaged, which actually makes the whole process incredibly overwhelming. Instagram and Pinterest where probably the two biggest sources of inspiration, as well as reflecting on what I wanted to look and feel like on my wedding day.

The Wedding Dress: Monique Lhuillier Bliss from Helen Rodrigues Bridal

The classic, modern yet timeless style of gowns. I had a close friend who got her gown from Helen and spoke very highly of her. After stressing for weeks about where to go and which style I was interested in, I decided to make an appointment. I really liked that Helen’s gowns didn’t follow ‘trends’ but were more timeless gowns that stood as impeccable pieces on their own. They are incredibly well made and Helen was so helpful in narrowing down the gown that was right for me.

The Experience at Helen Rodrigues Bridal

A huge thank you to Helen and her team, for my wedding gown. The whole process was so smooth. I just couldn’t and can’t stop obsessing with my dress- I felt absolutely beautiful in it. I personally found picking a wedding dress the single most difficult thing in planning a wedding. You really helped me narrow down what I was after- with your advice I’ll never forget and likely use in other areas of my life- describe what you want to look and feel like in 3 words.

Wedding Day Journey

Whilst I've never obsessed over a wedding, once we got engaged I couldn’t help but launch straight into it. After writing our guest list, we picked our venue (Glass Brasserie at the Hilton Hotel). We knew for us it was important to have a venue that brought its own personality, and impeccable food and wine were also really important. When we walked into the venue, we fell in love with it and knew it was the place for us to celebrate with our loved ones.

The journey was incredibly fun! I enjoyed every minute of it, and will crazily really miss speaking to all of our amazing vendors. It’s such a fun time.

Biggest Decision

The dress! By far picking a dress to wear was the most difficult decision to make.

Wedding Day Highlight

The highlight for me was walking down the isle, seeing Pete at the end of the alter waiting, as well as all of our families and friends looking eagerly at me. It is something ill never forget. The speeches are also incredibly memorable.

What would she change?

Not a thing!
